Engineering Agreement
Northwest Florida State College and the University of Florida College of Engineering have a Memorandum of Understanding which guarantees Northwest Florida State College Associate of Arts graduates, who successfully complete a designated pre-engineering program of studies at Northwest Florida State College, automatic admission to UF College of Engineering undergraduate programs for the completion of a bachelor of science degree in engineering. Upon completion of the academic requirements of the two cooperating institutions, the student shall be awarded a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida in any of the engineering majors listed below:
- Aerospace Engineering
- Agricultural & Biological Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Engineering Science
- Environmental Engineering
- Industrial & Systems Engineering
- Materials Science & Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Nuclear Engineering
- Nuclear Engineering Sciences
- Surveying & Mapping
In order for participating Northwest Florida State College students to be approved for degree-seeking status at the University of Florida, he or she must have:
- Completed the Pre-Engineering Associate of Arts degree at Northwest Florida State College.
- Achieved a minimum grade point average of 2.50 in the required pre- professional courses: calculus, differential equations, chemistry, and physics with calculus.
- Complied with all admission requirements of the University of Florida (see Student Bill of Rights above).
- Received a recommendation from a designated official at Northwest Florida State College.
